Joshua Weatherspoon, a 35-year-old Canton resident, tragically lost his life on August 30, 2016, in a double homicide at his home on Midway Avenue NE. Weatherspoon was found dead in the living room alongside 18-year-old Eryc Higgins. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, and a woman and three children, ages 11 months, two years, and four years, were present in the home at the time. The woman, whose hands were zip-tied together, managed to escape and seek help from a neighbor.
