Robert Lee Godwin Sr., a 74-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on April 16, 2017, while walking in the Glenville neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. He was collecting aluminum cans, a common activity for him, when he was approached by Steve Stephens, a 37-year-old man who had recently ended a relationship with a woman named Joy Lane.
