Jayquon Devione Tillman, an 18-year-old African American male from Cleveland, tragically lost his life on May 5, 2017, in Portage, Ohio. Tillman was a student at Eastern Michigan University and was attending a large house party in Franklin Township, just north of Kent, when the incident occurred. The Portage County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after neighbors complained about the noise from the party.
