Cody Virgil Nichols, a 22-year-old male of white ethnicity, tragically lost his life to gun violence in Columbus, Ohio, on August 4, 2017. He was born on May 12, 1995, and was a resident of Columbus at the time of his death. Nichols was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the hallway of an apartment building at 735 Doulton Court. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced deceased at 2:10 a.m.

fired at approximately 1:52 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Nichols in the hallway, and despite immediate medical attention, he could not be saved. The case remains unsolved, and the Columbus Police Department, along with Crime Stoppers, has offered a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person responsible for Nichols' death.
