Alma Smelko, an 83-year-old woman from West Carrollton, Ohio, tragically died on December 31, 2017, from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Her death was ruled a homicide by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. Alma was found dead in her home alongside her husband, John Smelko, who was also 83 years old. John Smelko's death was determined to be a suicide, as he succumbed to a gunshot wound to the torso.
