Death by Force

Laila Johnson, a 2-year-old girl from Wickliffe, Ohio, tragically died on April 20, 2018, from an accidental gunshot wound. She was staying at a hotel with her mother and siblings when the incident occurred. Her mother, who had a valid concealed carry permit, accidentally dropped her gun, causing it to discharge and strike Laila in the chest. The bullet went through a mattress before hitting her. Despite immediate medical attention, Laila was pronounced dead at Lake West Hospital.
