Sherrell Wheatley, a 62-year-old African American woman from Dayton, OH, tragically lost her life on May 19, 2018. She was an innocent bystander who was fatally shot by a stray bullet while walking back to her home after feeding neighborhood dogs. Wheatley was the primary caregiver for her quadriplegic son, Antwand Warren, and her death left a significant void in his life.
