Cedric Holt Jr., a 34-year-old African American man from Springfield, Ohio, was found deceased in Virgil Mabra Park on May 22, 2018. His death was ruled a homicide. The circumstances surrounding his death were particularly tragic and complex. On the same day, around 19 miles away in Huber Heights, Holt's son and his friend were found tied up in their home after a reported home invasion.
