On August 11, 2018, Raymond Baker, a 35-year-old man from Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio, was found shot outside a mobile home in Union Township, Washington Court House. Baker was discovered by sheriff's deputies and Washington Court House police responding to a call about an injured man. He was transported to Fayette County Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
