On October 5, 2018, 17-year-old Javon Tyrese Carson, a Black male, was tragically killed in Columbus, Ohio. At approximately 1:30 a.m., Columbus Police officers responded to a call about a male lying in the street on Chesford Road. Upon arrival, they found Carson suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to Riverside Methodist Hospital, Carson was pronounced dead at 2:07 a.m.
The circumstances surrounding Carson's death remain under
investigation. Shortly after the incident, two other individuals, Fahad Mohamed Moalim, 20, and Abdisalan Ahmed Shire, 29, were also found with gunshot wounds and taken to nearby hospitals. While all parties involved are being questioned, no charges have been filed to date. The Columbus Police Department continues to seek information from the public to solve this case.
