On October 5, 2018, 17-year-old Javon Tyrese Carson, a Black male, was tragically killed in Columbus, Ohio. At approximately 1:30 a.m., Columbus Police officers responded to a call about a male lying in the street on Chesford Road. Upon arrival, they found Carson suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to Riverside Methodist Hospital, Carson was pronounced dead at 2:07 a.m.
