D’Shane Wilcox, a 28-year-old African American sanitation worker and father of two, was tragically shot and killed on November 13, 2018, while collecting trash on his route in Cleveland, Ohio. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. ET on East 138th Street near Lambert Avenue in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood. Two other workers who were with Wilcox at the time were not injured.
