Melvin Dean, a 16-year-old African American male from Cincinnati, OH, tragically lost his life on March 23, 2019. He was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle with Roosevelt Collier, a 21-year-old acquaintance. According to reports, Collier shot Dean twice in the head, leading to Dean's immediate death at the scene. The incident occurred in Lincoln Heights, and Dean was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
