Paris Crossty, a 28-year-old male from Cincinnati, OH, tragically died on June 7, 2019. He was an enthusiastic amateur chef who had been working towards building a better future for himself. On the day of his death, he was dressed in his cook whites for a graduation ceremony from the culinary program at Cincinnati COOKS! on Central Parkway. Unfortunately, he was shot in the 1000 block of Central Avenue, just a few blocks from City Hall, and was pronounced dead on arrival at the University of
Cincinnati Medical Center.
Following his death, Jerry Foster, a 30-year-old man, was arrested and charged with murder. Police had issued a murder warrant for Foster, who was identified as the suspect in connection with Crossty's shooting. The investigation revealed that Crossty was one of 11 shooting deaths in Cincinnati since May 30, 2019. Despite the challenges faced by the police, the community and Crossty's family sought closure and justice for his untimely death.
Crossty's family remembered him fondly, highlighting his passion for cooking and his efforts to turn his life around. His aunt, Janice Crossty, shared how he loved to cook and had dreams of becoming a professional chef.
