Joel Paul "Joey" Wells, a 31-year-old African American male from Akron, Ohio, tragically lost his life on July 18, 2019. He was found fatally shot outside of 470 Weeks Street in Akron, Ohio, and pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred early in the morning, and the Akron Police Department launched an investigation into his death.
