On July 26, 2019, 14-year-old Xavier Quinn was fatally shot in the 800 block of Weldon Avenue in North Linden, Columbus, Ohio. Xavier, a promising young athlete and a student at St. Francis DeSales High School, was practicing football with his team when he was shot just after 8 p.m. He was transported to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
