Thomas James 'TJ' McNichols, a 25-year-old African American male from Dayton, Ohio, tragically lost his life on August 4, 2019. He was one of the victims of the mass shooting in Dayton's Oregon District, which occurred in the early hours of that Sunday morning. The incident resulted in the deaths of nine people and injured at least 26 others. The shooter, who was killed by police at the scene, opened fire on a crowd of people near Ned Peppers Bar.
