Dominic Clark, a 19-year-old male from Dayton, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed on January 13, 2020. The incident occurred under the I-75 overpass near West Stewart Street and Campbell Avenue. According to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office, Clark died from multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
Dayton Police initially found Clark's body outside his car, but they were unsure whether he was shot inside the vehicle or after exiting it.
The investigation revealed that Clark was the victim of a targeted attack, as indicated by Dayton Police Department's statement released on January 16, 2020. Despite extensive efforts, no suspects have been arrested, and the case remains open.
The police followed a lead about a car speeding away from the scene, but no one has been taken into custody. Multiple shell casings were found at the scene, but there were no witnesses to the shooting, only people who arrived after the gunfire.
