On October 9, 2020, Jermaine Lewis, a 19-year-old male from Dayton, Ohio, was tragically killed in a shooting at the Red Roof Inn on Miller Lane in Butler Township. Witnesses reported that Lewis was found lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a local hospital.

The investigation into Lewis's death led to the arrest of Da’Jahnn Phillip Alexander, a 20-year-old Dayton man. Alexander was indicted ...
