Jasmine Johnson, a 28-year-old Black woman from Columbus, OH, tragically lost her life on December 13, 2020, due to a drive-by shooting. She was shot while walking out of her home on the city's Northeast Side. Witnesses reported that an unknown individual drove by the Republic Avenue location and fired multiple rounds, striking Jasmine. She was rushed to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.
