In the early morning hours of June 29, 2002, the life of 22-year-old Rashiem “Rock” Reed was tragically cut short on a street in his hometown of Carteret, New Jersey. The young, Black male had been enjoying a night out with friends, completely unaware of the violent turn the evening would take.
