Reginal Lamar Byrd, a 39-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on January 23, 2021, in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Byrd was fatally shot in the 4900 block of Bottlebrush Drive around 12:20 p.m. He was pronounced dead at 1:05 p.m. at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Another victim, a 22-year-old man, was also shot and critically injured but survived the attack.
