Death by Force

J'Rome Arteece Ely, a 30-year-old man from Akron, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed inside his vehicle on Sumner Street on February 1, 2021. Police responded to a shots fired call around 7:00 p.m. and found Ely in the driver's seat with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives believe that one or more individuals approached Ely's vehicle and fired multiple shots, striking and killing him.
