Tameria Greene, an 8-year-old girl from Detroit, was tragically killed on December 30, 2012. She was fatally stabbed by her mother, Semeria Greene, in their home just days before what would have been her ninth birthday. Police were called to the apartment early in the morning and found Tameria with a stab wound to her chest. She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
