On July 13, 2023, Iyanna Brown, a 23-year-old resident of Detroit, Michigan, was shot and killed while riding as a passenger in a vehicle. The incident occurred around 12:25 a.m. in the 19400 block of Binder Street. Authorities reported that a suspect in a black SUV fired multiple shots into the vehicle, striking Brown. Despite immediate medical attention, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after the shooting.
