On October 8, 2021, Branden Murphy, a 28-year-old man from Norwalk, Ohio, tragically died after being shot and mauled by a dog in Sandusky, Ohio. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. when several people called 911 to report an injured man lying in the street near Hayes Avenue and Polk Street. Murphy was found with multiple injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
