De'Yon Jordan Hill, a 21-year-old male from Sandusky, Ohio, tragically passed away on December 14, 2019. He was found suffering from gunshot wounds in an alleyway in Sandusky and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Brendavion Durr, a 20-year-old male, was also found with gunshot wounds at the scene but survived after receiving treatment.
Following the incident, Brendavion Durr was charged with the aggravated murder of De'Yon Hill.
Durr was arrested in the Toledo area with the assistance of U.S. Marshals. Additionally, a 17-year-old Sandusky boy was arrested on aggravated murder charges in connection with Hill's death and was lodged in the Erie County Juvenile Detention Home.
The Sandusky Police Department conducted a thorough investigation, and evidence recovered at the crime scene pointed toward Durr's involvement in the incident. The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
