Ashley Rochelle Webster, a 34-year-old woman from Dayton, Ohio, tragically passed away on December 19, 2021. She was fatally shot in the 3400 block of North Main Street in Dayton. The incident occurred during an ongoing dispute between Ashley and the suspect, Georgia Raeshawn Jackson, who was 36 years old at the time.
Georgia Jackson was indicted on two counts of murder and four counts of felonious assault.
According to reports, Jackson called 911 after the shooting and admitted to firing three shots at Ashley, who was reportedly holding a brick. Ashley was pronounced dead at a local hospital, while another woman, Sha’que L. Johnson, aged 27, was injured but survived.
Jackson was initially taken into custody but was later released pending further investigation. However, a grand jury later issued several indictments against her, and a $1 million bond was set. Jackson was arraigned in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, and each charge against her includes additional firearm specifications that could add time to her sentence if she is convicted.
