Vonzell Otis Williamson III, a 17-year-old Black male from Grove City, Ohio, tragically lost his life on December 26, 2021. He was shot and killed outside the Comfort Inn located at 4197 Marlane Drive in Grove City. Surveillance footage captured two unknown individuals exiting a vehicle and opening fire on Vonzell in the hotel parking lot. Despite efforts to save him, Vonzell was pronounced dead at a local hospital later that night.
