He worked as the Transportation Manager for various public and private transit agencies, including the Ohio Department of Transportation and Cardinal Transportation.
Dunkle's death was the result
of a shooting incident that occurred on August 16, 2021, at his residence in Columbus, Ohio. His wife, Teah Dunkle, was accused of shooting him during an argument. Initially, Arthur Dunkle was critically injured and taken to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries the following day. Teah Dunkle was subsequently charged with murder. The exact details of the argument that led to the shooting were not immediately clear.
The case drew significant attention, and Teah Dunkle was arrested and faced legal proceedings for the murder of her husband. The court records revealed that the Dunkles had faced foreclosure cases in the past, which might have contributed to the stress and tension leading up to the incident.
