In March 2024, Marquez Thomas was sentenced to 18 to 23.5 years in prison, and C'Mone Thomas received a sentence of 15 to 20 years. The sentences were part of a plea deal, avoiding a trial that was scheduled to begin shortly after the pleas were entered. The defense attorneys and the prosecution agreed that the sentences were a fair resolution to the case.
