Terrell Lee Lipkins Sr., a 51-year-old African American man from Canton, Ohio, tragically passed away on January 8, 2022. Lipkins, who was well-known and respected in his community, was shot and killed in the early morning hours while standing near his car on Gilbert Avenue NE. The incident occurred just outside his girlfriend's house.

Following an investigation, two teenagers, Craig Avery, 16, of Akron, and Ajani Smith, 17, of Canton, were convicted of murder for Lipkins' death. The tria ...
