Summary based on 7 sources
On April 8, 2022, Brennan Crites, a 22-year-old man from Cincinnati, OH, was found dead inside a burning car on Galbraith Road in North College Hill. Investigators determined that Crites had been shot multiple times in the back of the head earlier that morning on Baltimore Avenue near Westwood Northern Boulevard. The Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit took over the investigation and discovered that Crites was lured into the car by Jamiah Richardson, 25, who was seeking revenge because Crites was dating Richardson's ex-girlfriend.

Richardson, who was in the back seat of the car, shot Crites and then moved his body to the front passenger seat before driving to Galbraith Road and setting the car on fire. It took police more than seven months to track down and arrest Richardson. She was eventually charged with involuntary manslaughter and aggravated arson. Richardson pleaded guilty to the charges and received a prison sentence of 20 to 24½ years.

The investigation into Brennan Crites' death is ongoing, and the Cincinnati Police Department continues to seek any additional information that may help bring justice for Crites and his family.
