On May 31, 2023, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Cincinnati police responded to reports of a person lying in the roadway on Enright Avenue in the East Price Hill neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 15-year-old Jamon’ee Crawley suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Crawley's death.
The Cincinnati Police Department continues to investigate the incident and urges anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at 513-352-3542.
Crawley's death has deeply affected the community, highlighting concerns about youth violence in the area. Community leaders and residents have called for increased efforts to address the root causes of such incidents and to promote safety and unity within the neighborhood.
A GoFundMe campaign titled "Forever live Ja’monee" was organized by Iiesha Crawley to assist with funeral expenses and to honor Jamon’ee's memory.
