Sylvester Watkins, a 21-year-old Black male, tragically died on August 13, 2022, in Columbus, OH. He succumbed to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound near the XO Nightclub on East Long Street. The incident occurred around 1:41 a.m. when a fight in the nightclub's parking lot escalated into gunfire. First responders transported Watkins to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in critical condition, but he passed away later that evening.
