On April 4, 1978, Officer James William "Billy" Nunalee Sr., aged 24, was tragically ambushed and killed in Wilmington, North Carolina. Officer Nunalee, a male of Caucasian ethnicity, was a dedicated member of the Wilmington Police Department.
