Brandon Bass, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 3, 2005, during an attempted robbery at a Pizza Hut in Wilson, North Carolina. The incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. when three armed men entered the restaurant with the intention of robbing it. The suspects, identified as Corey Whitted, 25, Antonio Barnes, 19, and John Holden Jr., 20, were all armed and had their faces covered.
