Jesse Vernon Musser, an 88-year-old man from Carthage, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on March 29, 2009. He was a retired railroad mechanic who had spent 41 years working with the Virginian Railroad and Mullens Machine Shop. Musser was known for his talents as a woodworker and gunsmith, and he was a devoted father and husband. He had moved to Carthage with his wife, Melba, in 2003 to live closer to their daughter, Holly.
