George Harrison Humphries, a 36-year-old man from Lexington, NC, tragically died on March 7, 2014, from a gunshot wound sustained inside his home. Humphries was found by deputies from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office at 272 Shepps Boat Dock Road while responding to a report of shots being fired. He was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center but did not survive his injuries. The initial investigation indicated that the incident was domestic-related.
