Ricky Dean McDowell, a 39-year-old man from Lexington, North Carolina, was found dead inside his home on July 22, 2017. Deputies responded to a 911 hang-up call at 188 Gordon Lane around 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered McDowell's body with an apparent gunshot wound. Further investigation revealed that he had also been stabbed.
