Livis Charles Owens Jr., a 46-year-old African American male, was found dead on April 21, 2014, in Delco, North Carolina. The cause of death was a single gunshot wound. According to the Columbus County Sheriff's Office, the bullet entered the area of Owens' right shoulder, passed through his body, and exited around his left shoulder. Owens was discovered at 631 Evergreen Road just before midnight, approximately an hour after deputies had been in the area investigating a report of gunfire.
