Judy Faye Hall Capps, a 59-year-old woman from Nebo, NC, was found dead on May 17, 2014. She and her husband, Garry Capps, were discovered at their residence with gunshot wounds to the head. The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office indicated that the incident appeared to be a murder-suicide, with Garry Capps likely shooting Judy before turning the gun on himself. Both Judy and Garry had health issues, which investigators speculated might have contributed to the tragic event.
