Jeffrey Daylon Mitchell, a 47-year-old Caucasian male, died on July 12, 2014, in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The circumstances surrounding his death were tragic and complex. Jeffrey was shot and killed by Calvin Anderson Ray, an 89-year-old World War II veteran, during a dispute at Ray's home on Jordan Lane. According to Ray, the incident occurred when Jeffrey broke down the door to his home and threatened him during an argument about a broken air conditioner.
