Artravis Ned Little, a 31-year-old African American male, was found shot to death outside his home on Smith Street in Thomasville, NC, on July 15, 2014. Despite emergency CPR efforts, Little was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m., and police were called to the location shortly after the shooting.
Following the investigation, four individuals were arrested and charged with murder in connection with Little's death.
The suspects included Kasey Dashawn Garland, 23, of High Point; Trellis Mentoria Johnson, 22, of Greensboro; Rashan Anthony Mebane, 30, of High Point; and Xavius Tyrik Mebane, 20, of High Point. Garland was already in the Guilford County Jail on unrelated charges, while the others were arrested without incident.
A Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrests of the suspects. Three of them were apprehended on Thursday, and the final arrest was made on Friday. The police have not released a possible motive for the shooting at this time.
