Darrick Whitted, a 44-year-old African American man, died on October 30, 2014, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. According to reports, Whitted was involved in an argument with his neighbor, Jimmy Lee Underwood, on the evening of October 30th. The altercation took place on John B. Carter Road, where both men resided. During the argument, Underwood, a 56-year-old man, shot Whitted. Emergency personnel transported Whitted to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. ...
