Jimmy Michael Slate, a 57-year-old man from Walkertown, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on November 13, 2014. He was fatally shot during a home invasion on Cain Forest Drive near Pine Hall Road. The incident occurred late in the evening when two masked men forced their way into the residence, robbing the occupants and assaulting them. Slate was shot just before 11 p.m. and later succumbed to his injuries at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
