Jamel Monee McCoy, a 19-year-old woman from Selma, North Carolina, was tragically murdered on December 3, 2014. The incident occurred at her home on Condary Road near Selma. Johnston County Sheriff's deputies arrested 47-year-old Howard Wood in connection with her death. Authorities confirmed that McCoy and Wood knew each other, although they were not in a relationship. The investigation revealed that McCoy was shot in the chest around 9:45 p.m. on the night of the incident.
