On October 4, 2020, authorities in Selma, North Carolina, discovered the bodies of 71-year-old Brenda McFatter Boggs and her husband, 72-year-old Stephen Michael Boggs Sr., in their home at 960 Olivia Way. Both had suffered fatal gunshot wounds, and their family dog was also found deceased. The couple appeared to have been dead for several weeks.
