Dawayne Ray Fry II, a 24-year-old male from Hickory, North Carolina, tragically passed away on February 21, 2015. He was born on August 12, 1990, in Catawba County to Dawayne Ray Fry Sr. and Helen Diane Forth. On the day of his death, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of US Highway 70 East in Valdese, where they found Dawayne Ray Fry II suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite being transported to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, he succumbed to his injuries.
