Chester Robert Garnes III, a 35-year-old African American man from Winston-Salem, NC, tragically died on May 10, 2015. He was found in his home at 2626 Stockton Street after police received a report of an armed robbery. Garnes was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds when he was discovered. He was immediately taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
