Sedrick Bernard Hartgrove, a 30-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 4, 2015, in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. The incident occurred in front of 700 West Gold Street, where Hartgrove and another man, Sherman Devante Addison, were shot. The accused shooter, James Travis Ussery, 36, claimed that the two men had an argument earlier in the day and later came to his house, attempting to force their way in.
